Tomato Leaf Candle
𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐟 🍅🌿
Inside the Tomato Leaf Conservatory™, the leaves are allowed to grow wherever they want. They stretch across the greenhouse glass, weave through the trellises, spill between the blossoms, and slowly disappear into the ceiling above. By midsummer, the conservatory smells entirely green.
Not like tomatoes.
Like warm leaves resting beneath afternoon sunlight. Like fuzzy stems, greenhouse glass, peach-colored blossoms, and jasmine drifting through humid air. Vines stretch lazily toward the ceiling while the entire conservatory glows beneath layers of living green.
Sweet tomato leaf and coriander mingle with jasmine, peach, apricot, green woods, and galbanum to recreate the scent of the conservatory at its most overgrown.
At the end of the season, the tomatoes are gathered into wooden crates and sent away. The leaves remain behind.
The tomatoes are counted.
The leaves are not.
